As a charity, we rely heavily on our ticketed events to support our work, and we love to organise author talks and interactive events for children and families to enjoy. And for those of us who are no longer children but still in thrall to a good book, we also host literary talks for grown-ups.

Every ticket bought allows us to buy more and more local children their very own signed book from one of our fabulous children’s authors. We’ve given away over 22,500 books to date through our BookFests alone, and we’re only just getting started.

In recent years we have been supported by wonderful people such as Julia Donaldson, Kevin McCloud, Kate Mosse, Rob Biddulph and Michael Morpurgo.
